With 12 years of bartending and restaurant work under her belt, Sam enjoys working with customers and providing a great customer experience. She is a registered nurse and grew up in Frankfort.
As with any small business owner, Brian wears many hats. He focuses on business management, strategy, numbers, and is the head cook. He hopes to someday pass along his cook hat to the right individual. Brian is a licensed pilot and is a Lake Ann native.
Since opening The Stone Oven in 2012, it has been an exciting and rewarding journey for owners, Samantha Lathwell and Brian Adams. Seizing the opportunity to open a restaurant took both on unexpected career directions, Brian is a pilot, and Sam is a Registered Nurse. The detour into business ownership has been a success. After running their bootstrapped business for three years, they remodeled the building in 2015. Around the same time, Lake Ann Brewing Company opened directly next door. It has been a synergistic relationship ever since. LABC provides the beer, and Stone Oven provides the food! As LABC has grown and brought more brewery seekers to Lake Ann, so has the need for Stone Oven to accommodate more customers. In 2017, Sam and Brian broke ground to double the size of the restaurant.
